Lesson 1: Granting View-Only Access in Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is a powerful tool that helps you track how visitors interact with your website. But what if you need to share this data with a marketing expert or team member — without giving them the ability to change anything? That's where view-only access comes in. It allows someone to see your reports and insights without making any edits. Follow these simple steps to grant access in just a few minutes.
Head over to Google Analytics and sign in with your Google account. If you have multiple GA4 accounts, make sure you select the right one before moving forward.
On the left-hand side, scroll down and click on the gear icon labeled Admin (it's at the very bottom). This will take you to the settings panel where you control access and permissions.

In the Admin panel, you'll see two options: Account Access Management — Choose this if you want them to see all data from all properties under your account. Property Access Management — Select this if you only want them to view data from one specific website or property.

Pro Tip: If you're unsure, Account Access Management is the safest option for full visibility without editing rights.
Click the blue "+" button in the top-right corner, then select "Add users". Type in the email address digitalgrowthspring@gmail.com into the bar.
This is the most important step — choosing the correct level of access: Tick "Viewer" — This allows them to see reports but not make any changes to your settings or data. It is normally the default option. Do NOT select Admin or Editor access. These allow full control over your account, which isn't needed for a simple review.

Once you've set the right permissions, click the "Add" button and you are all done.
