Lesson 3: Grant View-Only Access in Meta Business Manager

Meta (formerly Facebook) Business Manager is where you manage your Facebook and Instagram ads, Pages, and business assets. If you need to give someone access to review your ad performance or Page insights without letting them make changes, follow these simple steps. By the end of this guide, you'll have set up view-only access in just a few minutes — securely and easily.

1
Log Into Meta Business Manager

Head over to Meta Business Manager and log in with your Facebook account. If you manage multiple businesses, select the correct one before moving forward.

2
Open Business Settings

Click the gear icon ⚙️ on the left-hand side to access Business Settings. In the menu on the left, find Users → People and click on it.

3
Add a New User

Click the blue "Add" button to invite a new user. Enter the following email address: ryanrs8301@gmail.com

4
Set Permissions to View-Only

Now it's time to choose what we can see: Select "Partial Access" (this is the default option). Find the "Ad Accounts" or "Pages" section and set the role to Insights — this lets us see how the page, content and ads perform.

5
Send the Invitation

Once you've set the correct permissions, click "Invite". We will receive an email invitation to access your Business Manager and let you know once we have access and begin looking into the data for you.
